We're kicking it off with our Watters, Wtoo & Willowby Fall 2017 Trunk Show this weekend, June 2 & 3! This is always one of our most anticipated trunk shows as there is a style for every bride among the three collections in the most unique of ways. Still very bridal but with a fresh & trendy twist sure to make it unforgettable! The Fall 2017 collection has a focus on beautiful, flowy fabrics that define a Watters gown and details that are second to none. We're filling up quickly for the weekend so if you've dreamed of being a Watters bride, give us a ring to schedule your appointment while these beauties are in the shop! 281.681.3430

We will also be welcoming the Martina Liana Together Forever Separates Trunk Show on June 9th & 10th! This will be a BHB exclusive trunk show where we are able to show brides some of the newest designs that have not made the official collection yet! We are always so excited to see what Martine Harris and her team have come up with in making their new collections. These separates allow brides to create a custom, one of a kind look effortlessly thanks to a wide array of corsets, bridal tops, and skirts. Creating these bridal ensembles truly allows a bride's style to shine through on her big day!

We're so excited for these fun weekends and all that our brides will see! Be sure to schedule your appointments soon - we can't wait to meet you!

Pretty in Pronovias

May 11

We'll be honest, there are a lot of perks to working at a bridal shop, but one of our very favorites is receiving our new arrivals! We go to bridal market twice a year to select the newest gowns from our designers which means they arrive to the shop on a near constant basis. No complaining here! That being said, we are beginning to receive the newest of our Pronovias collection, and we are already in love! More importantly, so are our brides. We thought we would share some of our favorites with you all. Lace, crepe, mikado; cold shoulders, long sleeves and beaded detail, this collection has it all. Take a look below, and if any of these gowns match up to what you have saved on your Pinterest boards, give us a call. We would love to meet you and show you these bridal beauties in person! Happy Thursday, lovelies!

A Bridal Trend’s Return

May 4

In our little world of bridal fashion, one thing is true, and it’s what goes around comes around. One of the most interesting things that we see in bridal is that trends are cyclical; some we are so excited to see again, and others, not so much. You all know how that goes. wink
The one overarching trend that we have been so excited to welcome back is something that was first seen in the bridal world in the 70’s, and that is that there was a style for every bride. Of course, there have always been unique styles, but the 70s were the first decade where the trend was to be your own bride. Why do we love that so much? Because it's not a trend at all. There were no “rules” to abide by so whether you were a flower child that wanted to wear a bridal frock or pantsuit or a princess that adored ballgowns, there was a bridal look for you. We love seeing that the bridal world is once again embracing that mentality in that there is a look to tell each unique bride’s story, personality, and style. We believe that when you find the dress that is perfectly you, the feeling you have will show just as much as the dress, and we all know we're never more happy than when we are just ourselves.  While we may have different names today, like boho to vintage chic or sleek sophisticate to modern day princess, the idea is still the same. We celebrate each of our brides and their individual styles, and a big part of what we do is cultivating our collection to ensure that we have a variety of styles for each bride to appreciate and live their bridal dreams in. Scroll down to see some of our favorite current looks from boho chic to whimsical romance. Happy Thursday, lovelies!

BHB Real Wedding: Morgan & Marshall

April 13

We all swooned a bit when we received images from our #BHBride, Morgan, and her husband, Marshall’s, big day! She had come in with big dreams of her wedding gown, and we had such fun helping her to find it. In the end, she decided on a custom Eddy K gown that was fit for a modern day princess and matched Morgan perfectly. Her bride tribe wore showstopping Sorella Vita sequin gowns that completed a timeless look with a stylish flair. Here are a few of our favorites! Enjoy!

You Found the Dress, Now What? Day of Prep

March 30

You’ve got the dress, all of the details, plans and Pinterest projects have been finalized, friends and family are gathering, the day has arrived! One thing that you shouldn’t go without and will make the day go as smoothly as possible? A day of prep or emergency kit! By this point, everything has been prepared and planned for and nine times out of ten, everything will go off without a hitch. However, there is a slight chance a few last minute and very solvable hiccups may arise, and an emergency kit can solve a lot them! Most of the ones that you find online include everything you need, from a beauty emergency to first aid items. All of those items are great and absolutely should be included in your kit, but today, we’re going to focus on the items you need for the ensemble everyone is waiting to see-your dress!

Stain Remover Items
An expert tip? Ask your bridal consultant or seamstress about the fabric of your gown to ensure you get the best mix of stain fighters. Don’t be surprised if you hear things along the “home solution” line, such as Ivory soap, to specialized cleaners you will find at fabric stores. They may also suggest something in between those options such as baby wipes to the handy Tide stain remover pen. The way a stain responds to a cleaner is all about the fabric it has decided to live upon.

Sewing Kit
For that list minute snafu or lost button, a miniature or travel sewing kit can be a lifesaver!

Krazy Glue
This is perfect for those heavily beaded gowns that may lose a rhinestone or two at just the right time or if a heel gives you a convenient problem wink

Stick on Hemming Tape & Safety Pins
Again, your dress will be made perfect for you by your seamstress, but if something should happen the day of, these are surefire winners to include in your kit, just in case your bridal party doesn’t include someone with an interest in sewing.

Crochet Hook
For all of our brides that fell in love with the gown with buttons from top to bottom, a crochet hook will save you time and a gorgeous manicure. Such a simple tool that is sure to end up being one of your favorites!

Handheld Steamer
Those last minute wrinkles will be a thought of the past with a handy handheld steamer. If you have a standard steamer, all the better, but by this point, a handheld one should do the trick!

These are just a few of the key items to include in your kit for that most important dress! While you will more than likely not have to use these items, it will give you peace of mind being prepared for anything. One other tip? If you have a full service or day of coordinator, check to see if they include an emergency kit with the service they are providing. Some do, and that will check one more thing off of your list!

By the way, how perfect is this emergency kit bag from Lily & Val?!
